The Elephant Keeper. In the Sri Meenakashi Temple in Madurai Temple an elephant gives blessings to people who go there to pray. I captured this momentary glance from the elephant keeper, there is such contrast between the intense eyes of the master and the seemingly gentle, obedient giant.	I paid 50 cents to ride a public ferry all day through the backwaters of Kerala, India and watched one of the most spectacular sunsets I've ever seen from the boat. Faces on the Streets of Madurai	A house boat on the Backwaters of Kerala	This is Ganesh, a snake catcher and master of snakes from Mangalore, Karnataka, India. He seemed to be able to control the behavior and mood of snakes with his mind. His knowledge of snakes was incredible. This cobra before him here is wild and deadly, he caught it at someones house only moments before we ran into him on the street. He saw us and held up a thick navy blue bag and said "want to see a snake". If I wasnt in India I might have run away, but in India anything goes.
